Asking prices in the UK hit new record

Home price rising

In 2022 we have seen the busiest start to a year for the housing market.

Asking prices have also jumped drastically by £5,736 in March. This has taken the national average price to over £350,000. Homes with four bedrooms or more have shown to have prices increased higher than any other type of home.

The average cost of homes has risen in every region apart from London, where prices dipped by 0.4%

We expect to see that the strong market will continue until there is a balance between buyer demand and supply. There are many more property listings coming to the market compared to one year ago which should slow down the price growth.

Inflation and cost of living increases are affecting affordability plans of some people to move.

It is predicted that home prices will return close to pre-pandemic levels as the market becomes more balanced again.
